Zirpel Dining Co. is led by Chef Paxton Zirpel and Karissa Ohlsen, a duo with a combined 16 years of experience in the service industry. Together, they share a deep passion for creating elevated, intimate dining experiences that bring people closer; whether it’s a special occasion or simply a desire to enjoy exceptional food and wine in great company.
Paxton’s culinary background includes work in respected kitchens such as Waterfront in La Crosse, Wisconsin, and a sous chef role at Pickwick in Duluth. He also brings a unique perspective from his work with Upper Lakes Foods, a family-owned distributor based in Cloquet, Minnesota, giving him a comprehensive understanding of the journey food takes from sourcing to the final plate.
Karissa’s expertise lies in delivering thoughtful, high-level service. With a background in customer experience since the age of 18, she is dedicated to creating an atmosphere where every guest feels valued, attended to, and completely at ease. Her attention to detail ensures that each experience flows seamlessly, leaving a lasting impression.
